Doc is Stella’s Vet, and let’s face it, she’d rather behave, which doesn’t happen often, than set paw in his office! The usual visit to the clinic is filled with a mixture of anxiety and curiosity, as she can often sense that something’s about to happen that she won’t particularly enjoy. Each time stella hears unfamiliar sounds approach the door or the ding from the elevator, her ears perk up, and her tail tucks slightly between her legs, a clear indication of her reluctance. She knows a visit to see Doc is approaching. After this chaos of getting to the office Stella will sense the sterile smell of antiseptic mixed with the distant sound of barking dogs resonates in her mind, reminding her of the last time she was there. Still, once inside, she receives a comforting pat and a treat from Doc, who knows just how to coo at her to soothe her frayed nerves, making the experience just a little less daunting.
